This North American trade show for the concrete block, paver, and manufactured stone veneer industries was held at the Indiana Convention Center, Indianapolis on February 9-10. This was bookended by NCMA, MVMA, and ICPI committee meetings and social events. Euclid Chemical was among 70 exhibitors and 6 admixture companies represented. An attendance of 1,100 was reported by NCMA with approximately 100 concrete producers there.
This was the first time that large handling equipment and production machinery was on display in 6 or 7 years. As a result, these booths were very well attended. Euclid Chemical featured admixture products and systems as well as sealers and other offerings from Increte, Euclid Chemical’s decorative concrete affiliate. Among those were the newly introduced Pro Paver Polysand line for setting pavers, slabs, and natural stones. This is part of an array of products now available for distribution through masonry product and landscape supply outlets.
Our key focus was on HYDRAPEL Admixture Technology and our newly introduced HYDRAPEL SYSTEM for Water Repellent Concrete Masonry Construction. Like other systems, it’s comprised of block and mortar admixtures used to mitigate water penetration and leakage in masonry buildings. The HYDRAPEL SYSTEM protects structures from wind-driven rain, persistent damp conditions, and its high bond integrity reduces hairline crack potentials. This ASTM E514/C1384 – proven system meets the highest performance specifications, is administered through the HYDRAPEL CERTIFICATION PROGRAM, and can be referenced in MasterSpec.
The HYDRAPEL SYSTEM differs in key areas that set it apart:
- HYDRAPEL CMU admixtures can improve all production – from gray block to pavers & SRWs
- HYDRAPEL MORTAR ADMIXTURE can be dry blended/bagged or conveniently site-added
- HYDRAPEL MORTAR ADMIXTURE performs as an ASTM C1384 water repellent & bond-enhancer
- HYDRAPEL’s low treated cost and high production efficiency minimizes unit cost; see evidence of this and other cost saving features in the video below:
Consider the HYDRAPEL SYSTEM for your next water repellent masonry project!
